Improving and modernising STEM subjects

Meadowhead School Academy Trust shared two of its funded Erasmus+ during the latest Measuring Impact workshop of the Erasmus+ Learning Networks.

In this video interview, Jo Silverwood from Meadowhead School Academy Trust, discusses its Key Action 1 schools project Innovation and Modernisation of STEM and the Key Action 2 Strategic Partnership project, ‘Passport to your future’. Jo explains how the school is working with partner schools in Slovenia, Spain and Finland to improve employability skills of European teenagers. The students will work together to gain valuable knowledge about their own and overseas job markets and study what employers are looking for when recruiting young school leavers.

They expect the project to raise the ambitions and aspirations of their students, develop new friendships across the four European countries and feel confident in travelling to other countries and possibly securing employment overseas in future years as a result.

It is something that you can’t get in the classroom, something that you need to do to develop intercultural understanding of other nations and their cultures and customs as well as language skills
