The Erasmus+ UK National Agency is seeking nominations for young people to join its team of EuroApprentices, tasked with raising awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
Applications from both current and former Key Action 1 UK organisations are welcome for this unique opportunity for UK apprentices to continue their European experiences and share them with others, as well as to represent the UK National Agency and their sending organisation.
As a EuroApprentice, the role of the learners will be to increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme in their home country. By sharing their own experience of learning abroad, the apprentices will have the chance to motivate other apprentices, enterprises and VET providers to participate in the Erasmus+ Programme.
Current EuroApprentice Jamie Moore, who completed his mobility with Bolton at Home, has already seen the benefits of the role.
He said: “It has boosted my confidence as a public speaker, added flexibility to my role as a Digital Marketing Apprentice - with much of my EuroApprentice work also contributing to my Level 3 qualification - and I got to meet the President of Austria in Vienna!”
Successful, nominees will become members of a network for Erasmus+ funded Apprentices selected by National Agencies across Europe and will:
- be given a National Level Preparation Training, hosted by the UK National Agency in the Midlands, in March 2019;
- attend the EuroApprentices Network Meeting 2019, hosted by the Maltese National Agency in Malta; and
- complete a range of engagement activities including presenting at events and social media promotion over the course of a year.
The UK National Agency will provide training and support to all successful EuroApprentices. For more information and details on how to apply, see our EuroApprentices Information Sheet (105 KB).
