Changes to volunteering activities for Youth Round 3

Following the recent publication of the European Solidarity Corps Call for proposals and Programme Guide, a key change has been introduced for Youth Round 3 of the 2018 Erasmus+ Call.

UK organisations applying for funding to organise projects focusing on volunteering activities must now submit their applications under the European Solidarity Corps.

There is no change to youth exchanges or youth worker mobility and applications for these activities are still made via Erasmus+ Key Action 1 youth mobility funding, as in previous rounds. There is also no change to Key Action 2 or Key Action 3 youth funding.

This table gives you a breakdown of activities and where to apply, covering youth funding:

Project type Where to apply Deadline
Youth exchanges Erasmus+ KA1 youth 4 October 2018, 11am (UK time)
Training and networking for youth workers Erasmus+ KA1 youth 4 October 2018, 11am (UK time)

To manage volunteering activities, organisations must hold a valid accreditation. New organisations can apply for the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label, applying for a ‘supporting’ or ‘host’ role. If successful, this accreditation is awarded for the entire duration of the programme (2018-2020). Organisations who currently hold an EVS accreditation can apply for European Solidarity Corps funding and do not need to apply for the Quality Label.

For more details about the activity types under the European Solidarity Corps and how to apply, take a look at the European Solidarity Corps webpage. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact the European Solidarity Corps team.
